Ishaq is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in financial services, corporate structuring, and business advisory. With a strong commitment to clarity, integrity and results, Ishaq works closely with businesses and individuals to simplify complex matters and support sustainable long-term growth.
At the core of Ishaq’s work is a commitment to trust, transparency and long-term partnerships. He takes pride in being a reliable advisor who listens carefully, acts proactively and delivers on what is promised.
Ishaq is a big sports fan and is a respected live horse racing commentator for TOP FM radio, a private radio channel in Mauritius.
Professional Career
Ishaq started his professional career in 2006 after completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Law & Management from the University of Mauritius.
He joined Abax Corporate Services Ltd (now Ocorian Corporate Services), a leading management company, in the Corporate Management Department and quickly demonstrated his astute abilities to be given the opportunity to manage a portfolio of 100+ clients, 5 staff and assets under management exceeding $4BN.
In 2009, Ishaq was offered the opportunity to be part of the team to set up operations of Abax Group in the Middle East. He relocated to Bahrain for this assignment.
As he returned to Mauritius, Ishaq moved to the business development department of Abax Group during which he onboarded more than 100 new clients and was involved in the application of new licences issued by the Financial Services Commission.
Ishaq left Abax in year 2016 and joined AMG Group, a legal, advisory and consultancy practice where he had the opportunity to deal with clients from Sub-Saharan Africa.
In 2021, AMG Group applied for a Management Company licence and Ishaq was offered the opportunity to become the Chief Executive Officer of AMG Services Ltd. He led the application process, helped to set up the relevant operational departments and establish the procedures.
Ishaq left AMG Services Ltd in 2025 as he decided to embark on an entrepreneurial journey to set up Mistara Global Solutions Ltd.
